Tasha is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Perinatal Mental Health Certified professional in NC. She completed her master’s at Appalachian State University and her bachelor’s degree at UNC Charlotte.
Throughout her career, Tasha has worked with individuals and couples navigating challenges with; individual and cultural identity concerns, perinatal/postpartum mood, boundaries issues, life changes, grief, depression, and anxiety. As a therapist of color and first generation Haitian-American, Tasha also enjoys assisting individuals in deconstructing and challenging the impacts of systemic oppression and discrimination as it relates to self and cultural identity, mental health, grief and relationship concerns. She is passionate about working with individuals considering giving birth, their partners, and new parents. Tasha aims to support clients in building systems that foster their relationships and accommodate new additions to their families throughout each perinatal stage.
Tasha's approach to therapy is rooted in attachment-based, humanistic, emotionally focused, and family systems theory perspectives. This allows her to view you and your presenting concerns within the context of your world, relationships, self-identity, and all the parts you bring into therapy. Tasha enjoys supporting clients in accessing more understanding, self-compassion, self-awareness, and self-acceptance while honoring their culture, belief systems, relationships, and context.
In therapy, Tasha provides a comforting and warm environment where you feel both encouraged and empowered to grow as you develop practical tools. Outside of therapy, Tasha enjoys finding new local food spots, engaging in crafts, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
