Hello!

I'm Tasha and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in NC. I completed my master's degree and a graduate certificate from Appalachian State University and my bachelor's degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

I have worked with individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges with; individual and cultural identity, perinatal/postpartum mood, relationships & boundaries, life changes, grief & loss, depression, and anxiety. I am passionate about working with individuals who are considering giving birth, their partners, and new parents of color. Throughout each perinatal stage, I support my clients in building systems that grow their relationships and encompass new additions to their families.

My approach to therapy stems from humanistic, emotionally-focused, experiential, and systemic perspectives. This means that when I work with clients, I view you and your presenting concerns within the context of your world and your relationships, how you identify, and all the parts you bring with you into therapy. I focus on supporting clients to access more understanding, compassion, self-awareness, and acceptance of themselves and their lives while honoring their culture, belief systems, relationships, and context.

Within the therapy space, I strive to create a comforting and warm environment where you feel both supported and challenged while developing active tools in your life. I hope that through our collaborative work together, we can establish a therapeutic relationship based on trust and feedback, where you feel empowered towards growth.

When I am not with clients, I enjoy finding new hobbies, crafting, cooking, watching anime, and spending quality time with family and friends.
